CAPPA Certified Lactation Educator™, CLE®. Registration for

Congratulations on your decision to invest in lactation education. The 24-hour CLE® course fulfills the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) (BFI Canada), doula breastfeeding education requirements, and awards 21.25 L-CERPS from IBLCE. This course is the prerequisite to enrol in CAPPA Academy, the online certification course designed to instruct and guide students through the process of becoming a Certified Lactation Educator™.  Additional coursework and investment required for certification. 

After enrolling, an email containing a Study Guide, reading assignments and registration confirmation will be sent. If you do not receive the email within a week of registering, please contact the instructor at info@fionalangsharpe.com. 

Please complete the registration form and submit payment for your upcoming training. 

If training is SOLD OUT, you can still complete the registration form to remain on a waiting list for cancellations or for notification of future training.

Carefully read the following statements and signify that you agree to the terms listed by marking the box prior to paying for your training.

• I understand that I will need to complete a few homework assignments prior to the workshop.
• I understand that I should not make non-refundable travel reservations until Fiona Lang-Sharpe has confirmed the workshop at least 2 weeks prior to the course.
• I understand that I may not record the training workshop (audio or video).  I may take photographs only with the express permission of the trainer and the participants.
• I understand that this course is NOT an IBCLC exam prep course nor does attendance at this course, or certification as a CLE® qualify a professional to perform lactation evaluation, assessment, or diagnosis of lactation related conditions.
• I understand that the three-day training alone fulfils BFI, Peer Counseling Training and the Core Competencies, but in order to become a Certified Lactation Educator I must join CAPPA and enroll in the online CAPPA Academy.
• I understand that I may not photograph any PowerPoint slide, training materials, certificates of cmpletion, or any other intellectual property belonging to CAPPA or Fiona Lang Sharpe
• I may not reproduce, publish, or distribute any materials in the training manual
• I may not reproduce publish or distribute any certification materials,other than that for the purpose of fulfilling my certification requirements.
• I may not reproduce, publish, photograph share, email or distribute any materials in the training handouts or manual other than for the purpose of using them form my personal business as a labour doula.     

As a participant in this training, I agree to allow Fiona Lang-Sharpe Family-Centered Care/CAPPA  to do the following:

• Publish my name, address, phone number, and email address for the trainee class list and referral list. 
• Take photographs of the training which may include me, as well as allow the trainer and CAPPA to use these photographs for promotional purposes online and in print.
• Use quotes from my training evaluations (which I may fill out anonymously) for promotional purposes online and in print.

CAPPA or CAPPA Faculty does not assume liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed or items one may come into contact with while eating at any CAPPA Event, Training or Activity you may attend--whether inside or outside of CAPPA planned events and activities. 

Details of Refund Policy: 

 I understand that training is non-refundable . We understand emergencies may arise and although we do not issue a refund, your payment can be applied to a future training by the same faculty within one year of your initial postponement.  Applicant must contact Fiona Lang-Sharpe to make these arrangements.  If the class is cancelled by Fiona, attendees have the option of receiving a full refund or transferring to another lactation educator training with Fiona Lang-Sharpe.   

Certificate of training completion is given only if the entire training is attended, the Pre-Workshop Study Guide is completed, and training fees are paid in full.
